A Fast Start Buries the Sparks
Las Vegas trailed 5-2 for about ninety seconds. Then the Aces ripped off 15 straight points, turned the deficit into a 17-5 lead, and never gave the Sparks a real look at the game again. The final was 89-79, and the win locks up at least the No. 3 seed for Las Vegas along with home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Los Angeles found one stretch of life, an 11-0 run in the second quarter that cut a 17-point hole down to six at 35-29. It lasted exactly one possession of pushback. The Aces answered in the third quarter with a 10-0 burst of their own that pushed the lead back to 18 at 63-45, and the Sparks spent the rest of the night chasing a deficit that never dipped back into single digits.

Wilson and Gray Do the Damage
A’ja Wilson posted 18 points and 10 rebounds, business as usual for the Aces star. Chelsea Gray shot 7 of 12 from the field for 17 points, and Jackie Young ran the offense with a game-high 11 assists to go with 14 points. If the current standings hold, Las Vegas opens the postseason at home against the Washington Mystics.
A Farewell in Los Angeles
Nneka Ogwumike gave the home crowd one more show in what was her final road game, 17 points and nine rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting. Erica Wheeler added 16 points, five assists and four rebounds, and Tonie Morgan shot 6 of 7 for 14 points. None of it slowed the Aces down, but it gave a fading Sparks season one more reason to watch.
