Second play, and the bench emptied
Jayden Reed caught a swing pass to his left. That was two plays into Green Bay’s afternoon in East Rutherford. Demario Davis arrived first among the converging Jets defenders, the ball came loose, and Reed twisted to the turf.
Medical staff were on the field almost immediately. Within minutes the entire Packers bench had walked out to stand over their receiver, who was being treated for a head and neck injury.
Reed was braced, placed on a spine board, loaded onto a cart and ruled out of the game.

One play later, the right tackle went down too
Green Bay did not get a single snap of relief. On the very next play right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele dropped clutching his right knee, and his reaction told most of the story before the medical staff reached him.
His right leg was fitted with an air cast. Trainers helped him onto a motorized cart. Most of his teammates were back out on the field for the second time in two plays, this time to console him rather than their receiver. The Packers ruled Bako-Bewele out for the remainder of the game.
What Green Bay lose on the spot
Two starters gone inside four snaps, one at receiver and one on the right edge of the offensive line. Reed went down on a short outlet catch, the sort of quick touch Green Bay build into an early script. Bako-Bewele’s exit forces a reshuffle of the protection in front of the quarterback for the rest of the afternoon.
Neither player had a further update while the game was still running. A spine board and an air cast rarely turn into good news later in the week.
