Millwall vs West Ham United: one side leaking 13 goals, the other on a run of four wins by at least three goals 
Millwall have shipped 13 goals in five Championship games. West Ham United have scored at least three times in each of their last four wins.
That contrast pretty much sums up round eight of the Championship. The two east London clubs meet on Saturday 19 September at 13:30 Paris time, at The Den.
The Hammers sit top of the table on goal difference. Their attacking total is six better than any other side in the division.
Millwall are in 11th, four points behind their neighbours. A win would leave the Lions just one point off the leaders, so there is plenty riding on this one.
The rarity of the fixture adds to the buzz. These two clubs had not met in a competitive match since February 2012, when West Ham won 2-1 in the Championship.
The Lions have not beaten their east London rivals since 2004. That last win came 22 years ago.
Both teams come into this off a busy week. West Ham played in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, while Millwall were away at Middlesbrough in the league the same night.

Four defeats in their last six games since the end of August tells its own story: Alex Neil’s side look alarmingly fragile heading into the visit of the league leaders.
The Scottish coach is still searching for the right formula, but his players have at least stemmed the bleeding over the past few days.
Tuesday’s trip to the Riverside Stadium showed the problem perfectly. Millwall led 2-0 before throwing away the points in a 2-2 draw against a side openly chasing promotion.
The defensive numbers speak for themselves: 13 goals conceded in five league matches, with just one clean sheet, against Bolton. That is the obvious weak spot for the visitors to target.
Tairyk Arconte should stay up front after scoring his third goal in six Championship starts. Lyndon Dykes is likely to operate a little deeper behind him.
The injury list is making life harder for Neil. Alfie Doughty, Casper De Norre and Mihailo Ivanovic remain out, while Luke Cundle has only just returned to the squad for the trip to Middlesbrough.
The schedule is not helping either. Millwall go into the biggest game of their season four days after a trip to the north-east of England.

West Ham United: the division’s best attack 
Four straight wins have sent Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to the top of the Championship. Each of those victories came with at least three goals scored.
The standout performance came in the previous round. West Ham hammered Wrexham 6-0 at the London Stadium, a result that put the Hammers firmly on top.
Their six-match unbeaten run in all competitions came to an end on Tuesday, though. Fulham won 3-2 in London in the third round of the EFL Cup.
There is a silver lining to that exit for the Portuguese coach. His squad can now focus entirely on the league until the start of 2027.
The defensive record is the only real concern. They have managed just two clean sheets this season, both at the London Stadium, although conceding six goals in four away games in all competitions is hardly a disaster.
Joel Veltman is a doubt after going off at half-time against Wrexham and missing the Fulham game. Kyle Walker-Peters is ready to step in at right-back.
Up front, Taty Castellanos should return to the starting XI despite Pablo’s goal on Tuesday night. Nuno also looks set to stick with the core of the side that beat Wrexham.
West Ham’s start to the season needs the proper context. The 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic on matchday one is their only league loss.
Since that false start, the progress has been steady. The 1-1 draw at Watford was the bridge before four straight wins over Wolverhampton Wanderers, Derby County, Bolton Wanderers and Wrexham. Millwall have been warned.

The attacking imbalance is the main argument. West Ham have scored six more goals than any other club in the division and have netted at least three times in each of their last four wins.
That firepower is up against one of the loosest defences in the top half. Thirteen goals conceded in five league matches for Millwall, including a 5-1 loss at Southampton and a 3-1 defeat at Blackburn, does not exactly inspire confidence in the Lions’ ability to hold firm.
Freshness also favours the visitors. Millwall had to make the trip to Middlesbrough on Tuesday with a squad missing several starters, while the Hammers were at home.
The call is simple: West Ham United to win at The Den. The price on an away derby win still looks decent, and the gap between these two sides is not really up for debate.
