Eight players, one round robin
Electronic Arts opens the regular season of its new Madden Championship Series Pro League on Tuesday. Eight players contest a single round robin in MCS 27, and each of them reached the field by a route the organisers defined in advance.
Four earned invitations on 2026 results: the two finalists from the MCS 26 Madden Bowl, plus the next two names on the final MCS 26 points leaderboard. The other four fought through an open qualifier that ran from Aug. 22 to Sept. 7.
Money attaches to individual matches rather than waiting until the end. Every regular-season win pays $1,000, and those 28 match prizes come out of a total pool of $200,000.

Five dates, then Orlando
The league runs across five broadcast events. Game Time opens it on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET, then Breakouts lands on Oct. 6, Most Feared on Nov. 11 and Zero Chill on Dec. 15, with the playoffs staged the following day.
The top four in the standings reach those playoffs and book a place at the Madden Bowl in Orlando on Feb. 9-11. Three open-registration competitions run alongside the Pro League and settle their finals on the same nights as Breakouts, Most Feared and Zero Chill, which gives players outside the eight a second route to Florida.
How the Madden Bowl field fills up
Fourteen players reach Orlando. Four arrive from the Pro League playoffs, three from the Open Qualifier wins, six from the highest-ranked players still without a spot after the final qualifier, and one from a Last Chance Qualifier.
