Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur : one point to nothing, two bad starts 
Tottenham head to the City Ground with the worst record in the league: zero points, zero goals scored, five conceded. Nottingham Forest are not exactly flying either, with just one point from two games.
Kick-off is set for Saturday 5 September at 16:00, French time. The match sits in the 3:00 pm local window on the third weekend of the season.
Both sides have stumbled out of the blocks, though in very different ways. Nottingham put in a solid shift at Anfield, while Tottenham have suffered two clean defeats without ever really threatening.
The table has Nottingham in 15th and Tottenham bottom in 20th. One side is trying to steady itself, the other is trying not to sink any further.
The City Ground has not given the home fans much to cheer about this season, with a 0-1 defeat to Leeds on the opening day. That home slip is a big reason why the points tally is where it is.
Tottenham, meanwhile, were blown away 3-0 at Brentford before losing 0-2 at home to Newcastle. Different settings, same outcome.

Nottingham picked up their only point of the season at Anfield, drawing 2-2 with Liverpool. That becomes even more impressive when you remember they led twice.
Dan Ndoye opened the scoring in the 24th minute in front of 60 415 fans. Morgan Gibbs-White then put them back in front from the spot in the 70th minute, after Alexander Isak had levelled on 60 minutes.
The Reds snatched a draw in the 82nd minute, denying Nottingham a huge win. Still, it remains the club’s best performance since the season began.
The opening weekend told a very different story, with a 0-1 defeat at the City Ground to Leeds United. Anton Stach struck in the 88th minute in front of 30 739 spectators.
That split sums up the issue: two goals scored in two matches, both away from home. At the City Ground, they have produced very little.
At the back, Murillo has signed a new deal through 2030, which gives the centre of defence some much-needed certainty. That sort of stability is one of the few things Forest can lean on right now.
The point earned at Liverpool came in front of 60 415 supporters, roughly double the crowd for the opening home game. Forest handled the bigger stage better than expected.
The 70th-minute penalty remains the only goal they have scored from a set piece. That is one area to watch against a defence that has been all over the place.
Gibbs-White is still the main attacking reference point, the only player in the group apart from Ndoye to have finished off a chance since the season started. It is not much, but it may be enough against a Tottenham side that still have not scored.

Tottenham Hotspur : bottom of the pile and stuck in neutral 
Tottenham sit 20th after two rounds. No goals scored, five conceded, and a minus-five goal difference that says plenty.
Their opener at the Gtech Community Stadium quickly went south in a 3-0 defeat to Brentford. Keane Lewis-Potter struck in the 12th minute, Vitaly Janelt doubled the lead on 33 minutes.
Michael Kayode killed the contest on 49 minutes in front of just 17 180 fans. Three goals down in under an hour, and not a hint of a fightback.
The second game was played in front of 61 025 people, but the story was much the same: a 0-2 home defeat by Newcastle. Anthony Elanga scored on 62 minutes, Yoane Wissa added the second on 72.
In both matches, Spurs folded after the hour mark and never really looked like scoring. That is starting to look like a pattern, not a one-off.
No player in the squad has made the Premier League scoring chart at this stage. For a club that expected to be pushing for Europe, that is a grim early marker.
The contrast between 17 180 at Brentford and 61 025 against Newcastle changed nothing. Tottenham lost both times.
Five goals conceded in two games also puts their defence among the leakiest in the division. This is not just about the attack.
A trip to the City Ground in this state is a proper test. First they need a goal, and they have not managed one in 180 league minutes.

Nottingham showed at Anfield that they can go toe to toe with a top side and lead twice. Tottenham, by contrast, have not scored once in two games.
The Spurs have conceded after the hour mark in both matches, with goals going in on 49 minutes at Brentford and on 62 and 72 minutes against Newcastle. That late-game fragility plays straight into Forest’s hands, because that is exactly when they hurt Liverpool.
The City Ground is still a place where Forest need to put things right after the Leeds defeat, and the fixture has handed them the right opponent for that job. A bottom side with no attacking output is about as good an opportunity as they have had so far.
We are backing Nottingham Forest to win. The bet leans as much on Tottenham’s current inability to score as on Forest’s ability to create danger in the closing stages.
