Rennes keeps its man
Six months. That is all it took for Franck Haise to win Rennes over.
The Breton club confirmed on Friday that its coach has put pen to a new deal running to 2028. A fast renewal, and by the club’s own account, an easy call. Haise walked in back in February. It was a bold appointment. It has already repaid the faith.

The numbers back him up
The record makes the argument for him. Eight wins, one draw, three defeats since he took the reins. More telling still, a sixth-place finish in Ligue 1 last season and a direct route into the Europa League.
Rennes have known plenty of turbulence over the years. Haise steadied it. He handed the club a sense of direction again, and rather than tear that up, the board chose to ride the wave.
The next chapter starts now
The 55-year-old goes again, his staff still around him. Europe sits on the calendar, and a long, draining season waits. This is where the real examination begins.
