Flowers cashes in at Baltimore
A day off from practice, then a signature. Zay Flowers earned both earlier today, and the Baltimore Ravens locked up their top receiver on a four-year extension worth $140 million. The deal includes $108 million in guarantees.
Coach Jesse Minter handed Flowers the afternoon off to get it done. The team made the move official without spelling out the numbers, but Flowers’ representatives at WinSportsGroup laid out the framework for reporters.
At $35 million a year, Flowers now sits level with Justin Jefferson, fourth among the league’s wideouts by average salary. Only Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Ja’Marr Chase and Drake London pull in more per season.

A rookie deal turned into a fortune
Flowers arrived as the No. 22 pick out of Boston College in 2023. Three years later he owns a franchise record: his 1,211 receiving yards in 2025 are the most a Ravens wideout has ever posted in a season.
The production backs the money. Flowers has 237 catches, 3,128 yards and 14 touchdowns across 50 games, with 1,000-yard hauls in each of the past two seasons and a Pro Bowl nod to match. He already ranks top five in club history for receptions and receiving yardage.
He was set to play 2026 on the last year of his rookie contract, with a $27.3 million option covering 2027. Now he stays off the open market until after the 2031 season.
Built around Lamar
Minter tied the extension straight back to the connection with Lamar Jackson. “It’s one thing to have chemistry off the field. It’s one thing to have it on the field,” the coach said. “When you have both, it makes it really, really special.”
The two train together in the offseason. Baltimore just made sure that pairing stays intact deep into Jackson’s prime.
