PSV vs Club Brugge: nine wins from 10 for the visitors, four points from three for the hosts
Club Brugge have won nine of their last 10 matches in all competitions, including all of their last four away from home. They arrive at the Philips Stadion on Wednesday 4 November, 20:00 UK time, 11th in the league phase with six points from three games.
PSV are 18th with four points. They drew with Shakhtar at home, lost 1-0 at RB Leipzig and won 1-0 at Porto, which adds up to one win from three and very little margin in either direction.
The market still leans towards the home side, with PSV at 2.02, the draw at 4.40 and Club Brugge at 3.10. We think that price owes more to the venue than to what both clubs have done over the last 10 matches.
There’s no competitive history to work from. These clubs have never met in an official fixture, and their only recent meeting was a 1-1 pre-season friendly in 2024.
Availability separates them as much as results do. PSV have six players injured and one more outside the manager’s plans, while Ivan Leko is expected to lose only Joel Ordonez, with Meijer the other name missing from his group.
PSV: seven past Willem II, but a long injury list and one European win
The 7-0 win over Willem II was their last outing. Before it came a defeat at ADO Den Haag and a 1-1 draw with Feyenoord, and PSV sit third in the Eredivisie, two points behind Feyenoord.
Their last 10 matches in all competitions read five wins, two draws and three defeats, worth 1.70 points per game. They’ve averaged 2.2 goals scored and 1.0 conceded in that stretch, with three clean sheets.
Til leads the scoring with seven league goals. Mijnans has five goals and two assists, Van Bommel three of each, and Dest has two league goals, three assists and a Champions League goal.
Ricardo Pepi is back from injury and scored against Willem II. He has four Eredivisie goals and is pushing for a start, although our projected XI still leaves him on the bench behind Mijnans, Bajraktarevic and Perisic.
The absences are harder to absorb. Wanner, Sildillia, Plea, Schouten, Ouaissa and Nagalo are all injured and Lammers is out of the plans, so the group looks short for a side playing every few days.
Home form is the strongest argument for PSV: 2.20 points per game over their last five at the Philips Stadion. Their defence is the concern, because an expected goals against figure of 1.44 across the last 10 is well above the 1.0 they’ve actually conceded.

Club Brugge: six league wins in a row and four Champions League goals for Tresoldi
Nicolo Tresoldi has eight league goals and four more in the Champions League. He’s priced at between 2.10 and 2.20 to score here, and he has been the most productive forward in this match by some distance.
Brugge top the Belgian table after six straight wins, including 4-1 at La Louviere, 3-2 against Saint-Trond and 4-2 against Zulte Waregem. Across their last 10 they’ve scored 2.8 goals per game and conceded 1.2, and they haven’t failed to score in any of them.
Their European results follow the same pattern. They lost 3-2 at home to Aston Villa, won 4-3 at Inter and then beat Lens 3-0, so all three of their Champions League games have produced at least three goals.
Forbs has three league goals and three assists. Vetlesen has five league goals, and Virgili two plus a Champions League assist, which gives Leko scorers beyond Tresoldi if PSV choose to crowd him out.
Defence is the weakness, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Their expected goals against of 1.58 over the last 10 is higher than PSV’s, and Ordonez’s foot injury leaves Spileers and Mechele as the likely central pairing against a side that scored seven last time out.
Goals are priced in as well. Both teams to score sits at 1.33 and over 2.5 goals at the same price, both too short for us, but they fit two clubs whose last 10 matches have averaged 3.2 and 4.0 total goals per game.
Away form tips the balance for us. Three points per game from their last four on the road is the best run either club can show, and the 4-3 at Inter came against far stronger opposition than anything PSV have beaten in Europe this season.
Probable lineup PSV: Kovar; Dest, Geertruida, Gasiorowski, Kostic; Sano, Til, Mauro Junior; Bajraktarevic, Mijnans, Perisic
Probable lineup Club Brugge: Sommer; Sabbe, Spileers, Mechele, Seys; Lemarechal, Potts, Vanaken; Forbs, Tresoldi, Virgili

Our prediction: Club Brugge or draw (double chance) at 1.72
Club Brugge have won nine of their last 10, scored in all 10 and collected two more points than PSV in this league phase. The outright win at 3.10 has some appeal, but we prefer the cover of the draw at 1.72.
PSV’s home record keeps this from being a one-sided call, and Til and Pepi can both hurt a back four without Ordonez. Even so, six injured players leave them short, and they’ve scored just once in their last two European games.
We expect goals at both ends, with 2-2 or a narrow away win the scorelines we rate highest. Either one lands this bet.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.
