Galatasaray vs Stuttgart: Süper Lig leaders host a side sixth in Europe and 15th in the Bundesliga
Galatasaray won 4-0 at Konyaspor on Friday night. Victor Osimhen opened the scoring after 12 minutes, Yunus Akgün and Aleksei Batrakov added the second and third, and a 55th-minute penalty finished it. The result took Okan Buruk’s side to 25 points and kept them top of the Süper Lig.
Stuttgart are next, in Istanbul on Tuesday 3 November for matchday 4 of the Champions League league phase, with kick-off at 17:45 UK time at Rams Park. The two clubs have never met in a competitive fixture.
The tables point in opposite directions. Stuttgart sit sixth in the league phase on seven points from three games, while Galatasaray are 23rd with three. Domestically it’s reversed: Sebastian Hoeneß’s side are 15th in the Bundesliga with six points from seven matches, and Galatasaray have won eight of their ten league games.
The calendar favours the hosts too. Galatasaray played on Friday and get an extra day of rest. Stuttgart visit Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday afternoon, then fly to Turkey with three days to recover.
We also have to account for the treatment room. Stuttgart will be without six players, Angelo Stiller among them after he went off at half-time in Wednesday’s DFB-Pokal win at Paderborn. Galatasaray’s main absence is Abdülkerim Bardakçı, who is suspended after a red card.
Galatasaray: four straight wins and 11 goals since the Barcelona defeat
The 4-1 home defeat to Barcelona on 13 October is the last time Galatasaray lost. Since then they’ve won 1-0 at Gençlerbirliği with a late goal, 4-2 at Lille, 2-1 against Fenerbahçe and 4-0 at Konyaspor, scoring 11 times in four games.
We’d weigh the Lille result most heavily. Galatasaray trailed 2-1 in northern France on 21 October and still won by two, with Osimhen scoring the fourth. Those three points are the only ones they have in the league phase so far.
Osimhen has four goals in his last three matches: two before half-time against Fenerbahçe on 26 October, the fourth at Lille and the opener at Konya. Batrakov leads the squad with two Champions League goals and has more shots on target in the competition than any teammate.
Over their last 20 home matches, Galatasaray have won 11, drawn five and lost four, scoring 40 and conceding 32. Across their last 20 games in all, they’ve scored in 18 and opened the scoring in 15. Stuttgart have conceded the first goal nine times over the same sample.
Bardakçı’s ban forces a reshuffle in defence. The expected side has Uğurcan Çakır in goal behind Davinson Sánchez and Ismail Jakobs, with Lucas Torreira and Mario Lemina screening and Osimhen alone up front. Galatasaray’s home form over their last four reads three wins and a defeat.

Stuttgart: sixth in the league phase, but both recent wins came after the 87th minute
Two wins and a draw have produced Stuttgart’s seven Champions League points. They won 3-0 at Slovan Bratislava and drew 1-1 with Atlético Madrid at home on 20 October.
That draw needs context. Atlético played the last 26 minutes with ten men, and Stuttgart still couldn’t find a winner in front of their own supporters.
The Bundesliga picture is weaker. Their last league outing was a 3-2 home defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach, Gladbach’s first league win of the season, and it left them 15th. The 1-0 win at Hamburg three days before the Atlético game came from Miro Muheim’s 88th-minute goal, and Wednesday’s 1-0 cup win at Paderborn needed Deniz Undav in the 90th minute.
Ermedin Demirović is the reference point up front, with four goals in this season’s Champions League. Undav and Jamie Leweling have one each, and Stiller had laid on two before his injury. Across their last ten matches in all competitions, Stuttgart have scored 1.8 goals per game and conceded 0.8.
The absentee list is long: Stiller, Diehl, Leo Sauer, Josha Vagnoman, Tiago Tomás and Dan-Axel Zagadou are all expected to miss out. Without Stiller, Grischa Prömel and Bilal El Khannouss are likely to start in midfield, two days after a trip to Leverkusen.
Probable lineup Galatasaray: Çakır; Sallai, Sánchez, Jakobs, Elmalı; Torreira, Lemina; Yılmaz, Batrakov, Akgün; Osimhen
Probable lineup Stuttgart: Seimen; Assignon, Hendriks, Chabot, Mittelstädt; Prömel, El Khannouss; Leweling, Undav, Führich; Demirović

Our prediction: Galatasaray to win (odds 2.15)
We’re backing Galatasaray at 2.15. They’ve won four in a row since the Barcelona defeat, scored 11 goals in that run and arrive with an extra day’s rest, while Stuttgart play at Leverkusen on Saturday with six players unavailable.
Stuttgart’s seven league-phase points count against this pick, and seven from three games is a strong return. We still give more weight to their domestic form: 15th in the Bundesliga, with their last two wins both settled by a single goal scored after the 87th minute.
Galatasaray have scored in 18 of their last 20 matches and gone ahead first in 15. At home, against a Stuttgart midfield without Stiller, we expect them to take the lead and hold it. For a bigger price, a Galatasaray win with both teams scoring is available at 3.40.

About our free predictions
- What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
- Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
- The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
- A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
- Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
- Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes
A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
