Parma vs Torino – Free Serie A Prediction – 19/10/2026

Parma vs Torino: Gilardino’s Parma can’t hit the target, and Torino have found a rhythm Serie A

Carlos Cuesta didn’t make it through the international break. Parma sacked him and turned to Alberto Gilardino, who spent three seasons at the club as a player and is the second-highest scorer in its Serie A history.

What he’s taken over is a side that simply doesn’t threaten. Four league goals in six games is the lowest total in the division, and their average of 2.6 shots on target per match is also the worst in Serie A, which goes a long way to explaining why they’re 18th on four points.

Torino are the visitors on Monday night at the Tardini (20:45 Paris time), sitting 12th and three points better off. Ignazio Abate’s start in Turin was a rough one, but they’ve picked up seven points from the last four and beat Udinese 2-1 last time out.

Recent meetings lean Torino’s way too. They won 4-1 in Turin in March and have lost only one of the last seven league games between the sides, 2-1 at the Tardini in September 2025.

A win here would give Torino back-to-back league wins for only the second time in 2026, after Hellas Verona and Pisa in April. Parma, for their part, haven’t strung together two top-flight home wins since January 2020. Of those two runs, we know which one we’d expect to change on Monday.

Parma: four goals in six games and seven matches without a clean sheet Parma

Parma’s league season so far: a 1-0 home defeat by Cagliari, 2-0 at Juventus, 1-1 with Monza, 2-1 at Como, a 2-1 win over Genoa and then 3-0 at Inter. There was also a 2-0 home loss to Cremonese along the way. One win in seven, and Genoa is the only game in which they scored more than once.

The defence hasn’t been able to make up for it. They’ve gone seven games without a clean sheet and have let in ten league goals against their four, and across their last ten matches they failed to score in half.

The Tardini has been a little kinder. Over those same ten games Parma averaged 1.14 points per home match and nothing at all away from it, although the Genoa result is still their only league win, and both Cagliari and Cremonese left with the points.

There’s no shortage of injuries either. Pontus Almqvist (calf) and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia (groin) are out, Nesta Elphege has had appendicitis surgery, and Abdoulaye Ndiaye is a doubt after sitting out the Inter game with a knock.

Gilardino does have some choices in attack. David Romero is pushing for a start and Simone Lontani, the youngest player to score in Serie A this season, could come in, but neither solves the real issue, which is that this team doesn’t get enough shots away to trouble anyone on a regular basis.

Torino: seven points from four under Abate and a new impact sub Torino

Torino opened with two 2-1 defeats, to AC Milan and Sassuolo. Things turned with a 2-1 win in Florence, and after losing 2-0 at home to Roma they drew 1-1 at Bologna and then beat Udinese. There was a 1-0 home defeat by Monza outside the league before the Fiorentina game too, but in Serie A only Roma have beaten them since.

That Udinese match was their first home league win of the season, and they deserved it, with 2.62 expected goals. Sandro Kulenovic got the winner within three minutes of coming off the bench and is now pushing for a start ahead of Che Adams or Giovanni Simeone.

Simeone is yet to score in the league this season. Torino have still found the net in five of their six league games, though, and average 1.2 goals a game over their last ten matches.

Their away form has been solid rather than spectacular. The win at Fiorentina and the draw at Bologna were their last two league trips, they scored in both, and both teams have scored in all three of their away league games so far.

Fitness is a mixed bag. Emirhan Ilkhan came off with an adductor problem against Udinese and is a doubt, which would leave Braganca and Mandragora holding the midfield, while Nicolo Fortini could be back from a thigh strain.

Probable lineup Parma: Corvi; Delprato, Carlos, Troilo; Britschgi, Bernabe, Keita, Sierro, Valeri; Toure, Romero
Probable lineup Torino: Perri; Comuzzo, Coco, Rodriguez; Belghali, Mandragora, Braganca, Cacciamani; Vlasic; Adams, Simeone

Free Serie A Prediction: Parma vs Torino

Our prediction: Torino draw no bet (odds 1.57)

We’re backing Torino not to lose this one. It’s hard to trust a team that averages 2.6 shots on target a game to win anything, and Parma have scored more than once in just one of their last seven matches. Torino, with seven points from four and a 4-1 win in this fixture in March, are in much better shape.

Parma’s case rests on the new manager and the home crowd. Gilardino’s name still means something at the Tardini, and Parma did beat Torino here in September 2025, but one win in the last seven meetings doesn’t outweigh what both sides have shown over the past month.

The away win is around 2.45. We’d rather take Torino draw no bet at 1.57, which keeps the stake safe if Parma scrape a draw. Under 3.5 goals is just 1.20, which tells you how little the market expects from the Parma attack. Our score is 0-1, maybe 1-2.

About our free predictions

  • What we publish on MathOdds are analyses, nothing more. We share a view, a reading of the moment, but never a guarantee. Sport remains what it is: unpredictable. A red card, an injury, a last-minute goal, and the script changes completely.
  • Let’s be clear: there is no such thing as a risk-free bet. Even when it looks “obvious”, nothing ever is. And yes, that means you can lose. It’s even inevitable at some point.
  • The smartest approach is to stay reasonable. Bet small, set a budget and stick to it. Never use money you need to live on. And above all: don’t chase your losses: that rarely ends well.
  • A bet should remain a game, not a job or a source of income. If it starts taking up too much space in your daily life, causes stress or frustration, take a break. And if needed, talk to a support organisation: that’s what they’re there for.
  • Ultimately, responsibility lies with you. Reading our content means accepting that risk exists and will never disappear, no matter how good the analysis.
  • Essential reminder: gambling is prohibited for minors and must comply with the laws of your country. Need help? Visit begambleaware.org.

Information changes

A prediction is always based on what we know at the time of writing. But between publication and kick-off, a lineup can change, a player picks up an injury, the weather turns, and the analysis can quickly be outdated. We cannot be held responsible for that.
