Toulouse raid the Swedish talent pool
TFC have their new gem. Toulouse confirmed the arrival of Sion Oppong on Friday. The 18-year-old Swedish forward has signed through 2030.
It’s a promising profile. Born in 2007, Oppong mainly plays on the left wing, but he can also operate through the middle. Pace, skill and plenty of room to grow. The fee is believed to be around four million euros.
Try it for $0.99.
A proven development club that knows what it is doing
The CV stacks up. Oppong comes from IF Brommapojkarna, one of the most respected academies in northern Europe. The Swedish club has already produced Viktor Gyokeres, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Bergvall. Not a bad reference.
The young winger has climbed the ladder step by step. Back at his boyhood club at the start of 2026, he earned his place in the first team. The return? 2 goals in 14 Swedish top-flight matches this season. A youth international, he has just received his first call-up to the Under-21s.
A bet on the future for TFC
Toulouse are sticking with their youth-first approach. The club is banking on Oppong’s potential to give their attack a lift. At 18 and tied down for four seasons, the Swede has time to settle into Ligue 1.
