Mayol finally opens up
Toulon have not played at home yet. Round one took them to Bayonne, so Saturday night is the first look their own crowd gets at this side. Gael Fickou is one of three players sharing the captaincy this season, a structure the club settled on over the summer.
La Rochelle travel with a deep squad and no intention of treating a trip like this as a write-off. Both clubs are aiming at the same end of the table, and the early-September schedule is not leaving anyone much room to recover.
Kick-off is 9pm local time, 8pm in the UK. It closes the evening on its own, with no other Top 14 fixture in the slot. Allow roughly an hour and 45 minutes from the first whistle to the last.
