A queue forms in Tbilisi
Tornike Kvaratskhelia is 16 and has spent the past six months establishing himself in the Dinamo Tbilisi first team. Ten clubs have made contact.
TEAMtalk report that Chelsea and Tottenham lead the English chase for the Georgian winger. Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Brighton and Aston Villa have all registered interest. Arsenal and Newcastle joined the race late and have pushed hard since, both having recruited Georgian players in recent windows.
Bayern Munich sit ahead of the lot. The teenager trained with the German club earlier in the summer and left a strong impression.

The numbers behind the interest
Kvaratskhelia has played seven times in the Georgian top flight in 2026 and registered one assist. He added four appearances in Conference League qualifying, which handed scouts a look at him against opposition from outside Georgia.
That is a thin body of evidence by most standards. It is also close to the exact stage at which his brother left.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia departed the same club shortly after making his senior debut. He has since won two Champions League titles at Paris Saint-Germain and spent this summer in the Ballon d’Or conversation. Every club scouting the younger brother is working from that template.
Nobody moves until 18
Whoever wins the race will wait. An international transfer cannot happen before the player turns 18, which parks any deal for roughly two more years.
That hands Dinamo Tbilisi time and hands the chasing clubs a problem. Two seasons of Georgian league football and European qualifiers will either confirm the projection or puncture it, and a list of ten will move accordingly in both directions.
Kvaratskhelia has signalled no preference. With Bayern in front, nine English clubs circling and no deadline forcing anyone’s hand, he has no reason to.
