Fairbairn wins it with no time left
Ka’imi Fairbairn waited all afternoon for one swing of the leg. It came with the clock at zero. His 49-yard field goal gave the Houston Texans a 34-31 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in London on Sunday, a few hours ago, and it ended a game that never sat still.
Houston looked to be pulling clear at 31-21 after Jawhar Jordan ran 25 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. Jacksonville refused to go away. Travis Hunter caught a 7-yard touchdown pass, then Cam Little sent a 60-yard field goal through with about two minutes left to make it 31-31. The Texans still had time, and they still had Fairbairn.

Stroud’s three touchdowns, Hunter’s odd double
C.J. Stroud threw three touchdown passes: 6 and 1 yards to Foster Moreau, and 13 yards to Jaylin Noel. He also threw his first interception of the season, and it landed in Hunter’s hands in the end zone. That made Hunter only the fourth player since the 1970 AFL/NFL merger to catch a touchdown and pick off a pass in the same game, playoffs included. He finished with 59 receiving yards.
Bhayshul Tuten caught two touchdowns for Jacksonville, from 27 and 2 yards, and a third Tuten score was wiped out by a holding call. Trevor Lawrence was also intercepted in the end zone by Calen Bullock before halftime, a turnover that kept Houston in front 17-14 at the break.
Nico Collins made a 42-yard diving catch that set up a Houston score, and Marvin Harrison Jr. caught a 14-yard pass in his first game with the Texans. Neither team could pull away, and a single kick decided it.
