Victory over Parma 
Inter Milan beat Parma on Sunday, finishing 2-0 winners. That result was enough to clinch the Italian title. A draw would have done the job. Marcus Thuram struck in first-half stoppage time before Henrikh Mkhitaryan added a second in the 80th minute.
The club now sits 12 points clear of Napoli at the top of the table. AC Milan are further back, 15 points adrift. With just three rounds left, Inter have wrapped up the 21st league crown in their history. It is their third title in the last six seasons.
The coach’s role and the Coppa Italia
Cristian Chivu is the head coach. He has only been in the job since June, and his top-level experience was limited before taking over. He replaced Simone Inzaghi, who left to coach Al-Hilal.
Inter’s season is not over yet. They have a Coppa Italia final on 13 May. Lazio Rome are the opponents, with the match set for the Stadio Olimpico. The club can still land both domestic trophies this year. They have done it before, in 2006 and 2010.

There has been one major setback this season. Inter’s Champions League run ended in February, when Bodo-Glimt knocked them out in the knockout phase playoff for the round of 16. It’s a step down from recent years, with the Italian side reaching the final in both 2023 and 2025.
