Zero points from three games
Fiorentina’s hierarchy met on Sunday to assess the club’s situation and that of their head coach, according to Foot Mercato. Fabio Grosso is now said to be in real danger.
The numbers tell the story. After three Serie A matches, La Viola have zero points and sit bottom of the table. The club still spent more than 150 million euros this summer.
The defeat to Torino sparked the meeting. Florence had taken the lead before somehow managing to blow it. At the final whistle, the fans booed the players and turned on Grosso. At the same time, they applauded two former club men now on Turin’s books, Rolando Mandragora and Cristiano Biraghi.

Tense atmosphere with Paratici
The issue is not just about results. According to Foot Mercato, the relationship between Fabio Grosso and Fabio Paratici is not exactly warm. The two men are understood to have different ideas about the project.
That matters when a decision has to be made. The club gave Grosso a heavily reshaped squad to launch a new cycle. Three games in, the sporting return is a blank and the pressure from the stands is only growing.
No final decision was taken on Sunday. Another meeting is scheduled for early next week to discuss the coach’s future again.
Palladino and Tudor named as possible replacements
Two names are already emerging if the club decides to change the manager, again according to Foot Mercato.
The first option would be Raffaele Palladino. The Italian knows the club well after his spell in charge of the Florence side last season. A return would be straightforward to arrange.
The second choice would be a bigger swing. Igor Tudor has experience of high-pressure situations in Serie A and would represent a bolder move from the board.
Grosso, for his part, is fighting for his future over the next few days. Fiorentina need to make a call, and fast.
