Two trips west, no squad number
Sixty-seven minutes. That is Senny Mayulu’s entire season so far, spread across four appearances, a shade over 16 minutes a game.
He did not travel to Rennes. He did not travel to Brest. Luis Enrique has left him out of the squad for both of Paris Saint-Germain’s trips to Brittany since August, and the explanation from the club is tactical, nothing deeper.
For a 20-year-old under contract until 2031, the minutes column is hard to ignore.
Le Parisien put the story out Tuesday. No fallout between player and coach, the paper says. Inside the building he is still described as attentive and a proper worker.

His people speak, he stays quiet
A source close to the midfielder gave the paper the family line. “He’s a competitor, he wants to play, and he trusts the coach’s choices. In the meantime, he’s staying ready and doing his job.”
No outburst. No confrontation. He waits.
Luis Enrique had the answer ready. A bigger squad and one match a week leaves almost nowhere to rotate, the Spaniard said, before praising the Titi’s attitude in training and his readiness whenever the call comes.
Akliouche in, Dro Fernandez climbing
Two arrivals explain most of the slide. Maghnes Akliouche came from Monaco to play wide but can tuck into midfield. Dro Fernandez is moving up the queue week by week.
None of which erases what Mayulu has already done at his age. Eighty-nine matches under Luis Enrique since 2023-24, nine goals, five assists. Two Champions League titles. A goal in the 2025 final. The Blanc-Mesnil native has filled in at No 9 against Barcelona when Goncalo Ramos was unavailable, and at full-back when a hole needed plugging.
Marseille is next. Sunday, at the Velodrome. Whether his name is on the teamsheet will say more than any quote has.
