A third spell for Adidas at Vila Belmiro
Santos have reached an agreement with Adidas for a new kit supply deal that begins in the 2028 season, the club confirmed. The move ends Santos’ current arrangement with Umbro, whose contract runs through the end of 2027, and brings Adidas back to Vila Belmiro for a third stint as the club’s outfitter.
Adidas confirmed the agreement in a statement: “Santos Futebol Clube and adidas have reached an agreement for the supply of sporting goods starting in the 2028 season. This will be the third time that the three-stripe brand will produce the uniforms for the Vila Belmiro team.” The partnership covers matchday kits as well as lifestyle and training ranges, giving Santos a broader retail push alongside the on-field switch.

Joining a crowded Adidas roster in Brazil
Santos become the fourth major Brazilian top-flight club under the Adidas umbrella, joining Flamengo, Cruzeiro and Internacional. For a brand looking to expand its footprint in South American football, adding a club with Santos’ global recognition fills an obvious gap in the portfolio.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the commercial logic is straightforward. Santos still trade heavily on Pele’s legacy and carry a squad led by Neymar and Philippe Coutinho, two of the most recognizable names in Brazilian football, giving any kit manufacturer a wide audience well beyond Vila Belmiro. The switch gives the club roughly two years to plan the rollout before the current Umbro deal expires.
