PSG are not supposed to be here. A nine-point administrative penalty dropped them to third in D1 last season, which sent them into the Women’s Champions League play-offs rather than the group stage proper. A draw in Frankfurt and a win in the return leg got the job done.
Their reward is Real Madrid away. Tuesday 22 September, 9:00pm Paris time, at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium in Valdebebas. Four other fixtures go the same night, Bayern Munich against Manchester City and Arsenal against HB Koge among them.

A new format that leaves very little room to recover
Eighteen clubs, one league table, six games each. The top four walk straight into the quarter-finals; anyone finishing between fifth and twelfth gets dumped into another round of play-offs. Six matches is not many to sort that out.
Paris have drawn the short straw on scheduling. OH Leuven arrive on 1 October, then it is Manchester City, Bayern and Chelsea in succession. Madrid, for their part, have made the quarter-finals three times since 2022 and have never worked out how to get past that stage.
Disney+ has it locked up in France
Disney+ holds exclusive French rights and is carrying the game in full, on browser, mobile app, smart TV or through the set-top boxes of the main providers. It is a subscription service. Nothing is on free-to-air, so without one you are reading the match report rather than watching the football.
