Kodai Sano

A regular presence in NEC Nijmegen's squad, K. Sano has made his mark in the Eredivisie through consistent performances. Originally from Tsuyama, Japan, this Japan international has steadily made his way to the top level. Standing at 176 cm and weighing 68 kg, this midfielder has the physical tools to compete at the highest level. Whether holding or organising, he adapts perfectly to the different situations he encounters on the pitch. His career path has taken him through Fagiano Okayama, Japan U19, Japan U20, among others, experiences that have made him the complete professional he is today. His participation in KNVB Beker has exposed him to elite competition and raised his level as a player. The 2025/2026 season provides him with the opportunity to consolidate his status within NEC Nijmegen's first team. K.
