Joelinton Cássio Apolinário de Lira

Joelinton lines up for Newcastle in the Premier League, bringing his qualities to one of football's top competitions. A native of Aliança in Brazil, he converted his natural talent into a professional career through hard work and dedication. As a midfielder, his 186 cm height and 81 kg weight provide a real physical presence on the pitch. His football intelligence and ability to find space make him a key player in Newcastle's engine room. The move from 1899 Hoffenheim to Newcastle (€ 44M) in 2019 marked a pivotal moment in his professional development. The silverware in his career — notably League Cup, Pernambucano 1, Copa do Nordeste — confirms his ability to perform in the biggest moments. As 2025/2026 unfolds, he continues to deliver performances that justify his place in Newcastle's squad. Joelinton remains a player to keep a close eye on as the season develops.
