Sinayoko punishes a loose clearance
Paris FC were sixth, Monaco fourth, and for 90 minutes at Jean-Bouin it looked the other way round. The hosts won 3-1 on Sunday afternoon and moved up to fourth in Ligue 1 on 17 points, level with Lyon in third.
The first goal came from a mistake. Monaco goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky played a poor restart in the 38th minute, Ilan Kebbal pounced on it and fed Maxime Lopez, and Lassine Sinayoko collected the cut-back to finish. Five minutes later he struck again. Sent clear behind Eric Dier, he beat the defender for pace and finished past Hradecky for his eighth goal of the season. Paris FC had already hit the post and the crossbar before that.
Monaco had no shot in the opening 16 minutes, and Hradecky had to make several saves to keep the deficit at two.

Balogun answers, Pagis ends it
Filipe Luís made a double change at the break and sent on Folarin Balogun, who reduced the gap in the 65th minute by cutting out Vanderson’s cross and beating Kevin Trapp. For a few minutes Monaco played with more urgency.
It did not last. In the 74th minute Sinayoko worked the ball across to Pagis, who beat Hradecky for 3-1. Sinayoko limped off five minutes later holding his leg, replaced by 20-year-old Omar Sissoko, so his fitness is worth watching. Paris FC finished with ten shots on target to Monaco’s two.
A farewell for Ferracci
The afternoon belonged to Pierre Ferracci as much as the players. After 20 years at the club, 14 of them as president, he handed over to Antoine Arnault and became honorary president. Supporters unfurled a giant banner reading “Merci Président”, the players wore shirts with the same message, and Ferracci watched the first 14 minutes, one for each year in charge, among the ultras after a guard of honour and the presentation of a trophy.
