Three goals in three minutes
Michael Olise scored his hat-trick between the 73rd and the 76th minute. Three goals, 180 seconds, and a Union Berlin defence that had already stopped trying to stay with him.
Bayern won 7-0 in Munich on Friday night. The scoreline is the headline everywhere, and it undersells what the Frenchman did: three goals, an assist, a penalty won.
Jamal Musiala started it in the 18th minute with a clean finish. Harry Kane converted from the spot in the 39th after Olise had drawn the foul, and that one carried its own milestone: goal number 100 in the Bundesliga for the England captain.
Olise added the third himself, left foot, 43rd minute, just before the interval.

Bischof found his man twice
Kane headed in the fourth from an Olise cross in the 55th. Saibari, on as a substitute minutes earlier, made it five in the 70th.
Then came the three minutes. In the 73rd Olise took down a long Bischof pass, went round the goalkeeper and watched the ball drop in off the bar. In the 76th, Bischof picked him out again and he finished left-footed for the second time in the match.
Two passes from the young midfielder, two goals. Bayern found a partnership nobody had planned for.
The Olise question looks different now
Four rounds in and Bayern sit top. Nobody in Bavaria will treat that as news. Olise’s form is the part worth paying attention to, and he had already scored twice against Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League this season.
Musiala has spent months working his way back from injury. He scored inside 20 minutes here. Bayern are recovering their best players at a useful moment.
Which brings up what the Allianz Arena offices have been circling since the summer. Olise’s future was an open file. Seven goals against Union Berlin later, the file reads differently.
