Two series, and the question is answered
Bo Nix walked back onto the field overnight with a repaired ankle and a handful of snaps to prove it holds up. It did. The Denver quarterback went 6 of 9 for 76 yards across two possessions against Green Bay, and his first drive back ended with a 21-yard touchdown throw to R.J. Harvey in the opening quarter.
His second series stalled short of the end zone but still produced points, Wil Lutz converting from 53 yards. Jarrett Stidham took over after that. Denver had seen what it came to see.
The scoreboard went the other way. Green Bay won 33-13 in Denver, though preseason scorelines rarely say much about either roster.

Jordan Love needed one drive
Green Bay’s starter was on the field even less than Nix. Jordan Love took a single series, marched the Packers 63 yards on 12 plays and finished it with an 11-yard touchdown pass to MarShawn Lloyd. Fifty-six yards through the air, one score, night over.
Tyrod Taylor followed and never found rhythm, hitting 4 of 8 for 17 yards, though he did find Will Shepherd from two yards out. Kyle McCord handled the bulk of the work with 12 completions in 19 attempts for 118 yards. Shepherd led all receivers with six catches for 47 yards.
Kicker Trey Smack quietly had the loudest night of anyone in green. Four field goals, the longest from 59 yards, the kind of preseason line that settles a roster argument in a hurry.
What Denver actually gained
Preseason results get filed and forgotten. Health does not. Nix taking live snaps, absorbing a rush and putting a ball in the end zone with the regular season close changes the tone of what remains of Denver’s camp, and it hands the coaching staff a starting quarterback instead of a contingency plan.
Whether he plays again before Week 1 is now a decision rather than a worry.
