San Antonio finally gets on the board
The Spurs came into Dallas looking for their first win of the season and left with a comfortable one. San Antonio beat the Mavericks 122-106, with Victor Wembanyama scoring 23 points and Dylan Harper adding 22.
Dallas was short-handed without Cooper Flagg, and it showed late. Sergio de Larrea led the Mavericks with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists, but the home side never found enough scoring to stay close.

A reset after a tight loss
The result follows a 114-110 defeat to Houston, where Amen Thompson blocked Wembanyama to seal the game for the Rockets. The Spurs responded the next night with a far cleaner performance, and Harper’s emergence as a second scorer gave Wembanyama room to work.
