Arriola stings Galaxy at the death
Paul Arriola came off the bench in the 79th minute. Two minutes later, he had levelled it. The LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders played out a 1-1 draw in Carson tonight.
Jordan Morris sparked the move from the right side of the box. He drew goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski off his line, then picked out Arriola with the goal gaping. The American just had to roll it home.
Andrew Thomas made four saves for Seattle. Marcinkowski finished with seven for the Californians, but he could not stop them dropping points.

Marco Reus is back among the goals
The German opened the scoring in the 44th minute from the spot after Paul Rothrock fouled Hirving Lozano in the box.
It was his second goal in two starts. Before this run, Reus had gone 11 matches without scoring.
The Galaxy (7-10-9, 30 points) picked up a point after the 3-0 thumping they took on Wednesday against Western Conference leaders Vancouver. Los Angeles remain just behind the ninth and final playoff spot, separated on goal difference. The regular season is running out of road now, and every point matters.
Seattle still cannot buy a win since May
It was a fourth straight draw for the Sounders (7-9-7, 28 points). More worrying than that, they are now 12 games without a win: eight defeats, four draws. The run began on 16 May with a 2-0 home loss to this same Galaxy side.
Seattle sit 13th in the West. They are just two points off a playoff place.
Dejan Joveljic left in the 79th minute with a leg problem. Arriola came on for him. The striker played for the Galaxy from 2021 to 2024 before joining Seattle on 25 August from Sporting Kansas City.
Los Angeles also got Joao Klauss back, with the forward coming on in the 67th minute for his first appearance since 18 April and foot surgery. To register him, the club had to buy a 2026 international roster spot from Minnesota United for $150,000 in general allocation money and a 2027 second-round draft pick.
