A 2-0 win seals first place
LYON beat Disguised 2-0 on Sunday to finish the LCS Summer Split regular season top of the table. The North American League of Legends outfit, not to be confused with the football club, ended level with Team Liquid on 6 wins and 1 loss.
It came down to map score: 13-2 for LYON, 12-3 for Liquid. Both teams go straight into the upper bracket semifinals in the playoffs.
Both games lasted 24 minutes, one on red side, one on blue. South Korean Kim “Berserker” Min-cheol ended the day with a 17/2/14 line. His compatriot Kang “Saint” Seong-in added a 16/2/19.

FlyQuest locks down the final spot
Disguised had its season on the line. It needed a win and a FlyQuest defeat to nick the sixth and final qualifying spot.
Neither happened. FlyQuest beat Shopify Rebellion 2-0 in the other match of the day, taking 32 minutes on red side both times. Fahad “Massu” Abdulmalek posted an 18/2/14 and Johnson “Gryffinn” Le a 15/3/21.
FlyQuest and Shopify Rebellion finish fifth and sixth, both on 3-4. Disguised (1-6) and Dignitas (0-7) are out.
The final standings: LYON (6-1, 13-2), Team Liquid (6-1, 12-3), Cloud9 (5-2, 10-7), Sentinels (4-3, 9-8), FlyQuest (3-4, 6-8), Shopify Rebellion (3-4, 8-10), Disguised (1-6, 3-12), Dignitas (0-7, 3-14).
Three teams book Worlds spots
The LCS Summer Split features eight teams. The competition began on July 25 with seven weeks of round-robin regular-season play, with each team facing every other side once in Bo3s.
The playoffs run from September 12 to October 4, in Bo5s and a double-elimination format. The top two go straight into the semifinals, while the teams finishing third through sixth start in the quarter-finals.
The top three teams will book their place at the World Championship. It will take place in New York, Los Angeles and Allen, Texas, from October 15 to November 14.
