Foot Mercato reported on Sunday night that LOSC have an agreement with Ayase Ueda. The Japan international has accepted personal terms. What nobody has yet is a deal between the two clubs, and the window shuts in two days.
Around 15 million euros is the figure doing the rounds. High by Lille’s standards for a forward, pocket change next to what the Premier League has been spending this month.

A finisher, not a project
Three goals and an assist in four appearances since the Dutch season restarted. Ueda is scoring now, which is rather the point.
He turns 28 this year. That is the age where a penalty-box striker has already told you what he is. Lille are not buying potential here, they are buying output, and they need it because the Champions League league phase starts soon and one squad has to cover both fronts.
LOSC arrive at this off a 2-2 draw with PSG. Money may also be moving the other way: Newcastle are said to be closing on Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
Nothing signed, and the clock is loud
Until Feyenoord agree, this stays exactly where it is. The Dogues have been on the wrong end of a late hijack before. A striker in form rarely stays quiet on the market for long.
