A postponement requested by the prefecture

The Ligue 1 match between Toulouse and Troyes, scheduled for Saturday afternoon, has been moved to Sunday. The Professional Football League (LFP) announced it on Wednesday, saying the change comes “at the request of the Haute-Garonne prefecture”.

A second postponement since last weekend’s violence

The one-day delay is the second postponement of a professional sporting event since last weekend’s violence. Another match had already been moved before this one: the Ligue 2 fixture between Montpellier and Red Star.

The LFP gave no further detail at this stage on the reasons behind the prefecture’s decision.
