Legacy beat G2 Esports to win FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou

Legacy sweep G2 to take FISSURE Playground #3 in Suzhou

Three maps, no argument

Legacy did not need the full best-of-five. G2 Esports reached the grand final at FISSURE Playground #3 as the side most people expected to see there, and left Suzhou beaten 3-0 a few hours ago.

The scorelines tightened and then gave way. Ancient went 13-9, Mirage 13-10, and Dust II finished 13-4, a collapse rather than a defeat.

Bruno “latto” Rebelatto carried the Brazilian side with a match-high 69 kills. He had already put up 60 in Saturday’s semifinal, the kind of two-day stretch that decides a million-dollar tournament on its own.

China keeps working for Legacy

This is the third consecutive major Counter-Strike 2 title Legacy have won on Chinese soil. They took the CS Asia Championships in 2025 and again in 2026, and the Playground event in Suzhou now joins the set. Rival teams talk about travel, time zones and crowd noise as variables that have to be managed. Legacy have stopped treating them that way.

The victory pays $300,000, split between a $165,000 player prize and a $135,000 team share. G2 leave China with $160,000 for the runner-up finish, their share of a prize pool that reached seven figures.

Sixteen teams, six days

The tournament opened on Tuesday with 16 teams drawn into two groups under a double-elimination format. BetBoom Team and MIBR shared third and fourth at $93,000 apiece. FURIA and Alliance banked $65,000 each for reaching the last six, and 5star eSports and magic took $42,000 for going out in the next tier.

Astralis, 9z Team, PARIVISION and TYLOO collected $20,000 apiece, while The MongolZ, BIG, FaZe Clan and GamerLegion finished 13th to 16th on $15,000. Several names that usually live near the top of Counter-Strike brackets spent most of this week watching from a hotel in Suzhou.
