NFL football on the field ahead of Ravens vs Bengals

NFL: Lamar Jackson questionable as Ravens eye Bengals

A third limited practice in a row

Lamar Jackson is not cleared yet. The Ravens listed their quarterback as questionable for Sunday’s home game against the Bengals, and the left ankle he hurt against the Titans on Oct. 4 is still the reason.

He was limited again on Friday, his third straight session at that level. Offensive coordinator Declan Doyle said on Thursday that Jackson had plenty of work left before he could suit up. Nothing Friday changed that picture.

Jackson left the Tennessee game at halftime and then sat out a win at Atlanta and a loss at Cleveland. Tyler Huntley started both.

What the numbers say about life without him

The split is hard to ignore. Across 14 quarters this season, Jackson has thrown six touchdown passes against one interception and added a rushing score. With him on the field, Baltimore has put up 116 points and 14 touchdowns. Without him, the total drops to 40 points and four touchdowns.

The Ravens sit at 4-2, one of three AFC North teams with that record. They lead the division in points scored with 156, but they also rank last in points allowed at 132.

A familiar opponent

Cincinnati has not been kind to Jackson’s opponents over the years. He is 11-2 as a starter against the Bengals, with 3,699 total yards and 26 touchdowns in those games. Whether he adds to those totals on Sunday depends on how the ankle responds over the next two days.
