Jonathan David exit reshuffles the deck
Juventus are not done rebuilding their attack. Jonathan David is being pushed towards the exit, with Atletico Madrid having wrapped up his signing. Turin now need a No 9 before the window shuts.
The Bianconeri have already been busy this summer. Lois Openda has gone, Dusan Vlahovic too, and Randal Kolo Muani has come in the other way. The forward line has been ripped up in a matter of weeks, and the Canadian’s departure has opened another hole.
That hole still needs filling. Within hours, the Turin hierarchy have reactivated a lead they had already chased last summer.

Woltemade, a 90 million euro operation
According to Marca, Juventus have made contact in recent hours over Nick Woltemade. The 24-year-old German striker belongs to Newcastle. The Magpies paid close to 90 million euros to land him, and he is still under contract in the Premier League.
In other words, this will not come cheap. Newcastle have no obligation to sell. Quite the opposite, in fact: the club from the north of England have just agreed a deal with Lille for Matias Fernandez-Pardo worth 60 million euros. They are spending, not slimming down.
So Juve still have another route open. Joshua Zirkzee remains on their list. But it is Jonathan David’s exit that has brought the Woltemade file back to life in the final hours of the window.
Hours to get it done
The clock is the enemy. The transfer window closes on Tuesday night. A deal of this size would require agreement between the two clubs, an agreement with the player and a medical, all in less than thirty hours.
At this stage, nothing is signed. The report comes from the Spanish press and remains a possibility, not a done deal. But it does tell you plenty about Juventus in 2026: they are willing to pay big for a striker, provided they shift one out first.
