Two days left in the window, and Turin is calling
Nicolas Tagliafico may not be a Lyon player by Tuesday night. Foot Mercato report that Juventus have made the Argentina left-back a target and are prepared to move at speed.
Juve have a gap on the left. Juan Cabal looks likely to leave, which clears a berth in the back four. Tagliafico is 33, won a World Cup in 2022, can play across the defence, and, most usefully for a club shopping late, is under contract until June 2027.
He has been linked before this summer. Deportivo La Coruna were said to be interested when the window opened, though that never developed into anything real. Juventus is a different conversation.

Fonseca said the quiet part out loud
Lyon are not selling from strength. Knocked out of Champions League qualifying by Fenerbahce, they have a hole in the accounts, and their head coach made no attempt to disguise it on Saturday night.
“We know we have to sell, that is true, everyone knows how difficult it is,” Paulo Fonseca said when asked about Malick Fofana. “Mathieu Louis-Jean is doing everything he can to keep the players, he is doing a great job, but the pressure is on because the financial situation means we have to sell players.”
Fofana is still the likeliest big departure, with Italian and English clubs watching. Duje Caleta-Car is heading for Sassuolo. Ruben Kluivert, Ernest Nuamah and Pavel Sulc could all raise money from the Premier League.
The team sheet already gave it away
Tagliafico started against Le Havre last weekend. Then Fonseca left him out entirely for the Fenerbahce return leg. Read that how you like.
He made 20 Ligue 1 appearances last season. His wage sits in the upper half of the Lyon structure without being near the ceiling, and at 33 with a 2027 deal his valuation is not going to improve. The window shuts Tuesday night.
