A November date that never happened
The hearing was on the books for November. Jacobs asked for it sooner, and a Green Bay judge obliged.
So on Thursday, in a Wisconsin courtroom, the Packers running back entered a no contest plea on two counts: battery and criminal damage to property. No contest is the middle path in American law. He does not fight the facts, he does not admit guilt either, and the case closes without a trial.

$1,000 and a year of conditions
The battery count brought a $1,000 fine plus court costs. The property damage charge was stayed for twelve months and disappears entirely if Jacobs holds up his end of the deal.
That end is not nothing. US outlets list no contact with the complainant, counselling sessions, supervision by justice officials and compensation. A review hearing already sits on the calendar for September 10, 2027.
“I fully understand the seriousness of the situation and I take full responsibility,” Jacobs told the court, per ESPN. Then he walked out past the reporters without a word.
The arrest happened back in May, near Green Bay. Local police logged it at the time as a disorderly conduct complaint.
Green Bay still has no running back and no date
August 27. That is when the commissioner’s exempt list swallowed Jacobs’ season. No games, no practice with the team, and the league has not offered so much as a rough timeline for his return.
The hole in the backfield is obvious. Jacobs ran for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns across 15 starts last season, and caught 36 passes for another 282 yards and a score.
He is 28, with 7,803 rushing yards and 74 touchdowns over 105 games split between Las Vegas from 2019 to 2023 and Green Bay since. Three Pro Bowls. First-team All-Pro in 2022, the year he led the league with 1,653 rushing yards as a Raider. Alabama sent him to the NFL as the 24th pick in 2019, and the Packers handed him four years and $48 million in 2024.
Wisconsin is done with him. Park Avenue is not.
