Defensive cover through the end of the season
Four countries in four seasons. That is the résumé Jordan Brewster brings to Houston, where the Dash announced her signing on Saturday. The 26-year-old defender is under contract through the end of the 2026 campaign.
She is available for selection from Sunday night, when Houston travel to face Orlando Pride.
Brewster opened this season with AFC Toronto in the Northern Super League, Canada’s newly launched competition.

A well-travelled career
She turned pro in 2023 in Sweden with Kristianstads DFF.
Bay FC came next, for the franchise’s inaugural NWSL season in 2024. Then Mexico, with Club America. Then Canada.
That is an unusual path for a player her age. What it has given her is a crash course in wildly different football environments.
Houston move to strengthen the final stretch
Dash president Angela Hucles Mangano made that point herself. “We are delighted to welcome Jordan to the team at such an important point in the season,” she said.
“Her time with AFC Toronto and Club America has allowed her to develop in two distinct professional settings and gain experience at a high level. We believe those experiences will serve her well as she takes the next step in her career with the Dash,” she added.
The timing tells the story. Houston have moved late, with the season running down. A short-term deal, an immediate need at the back, and a player who already knows the league from her 2024 stint.
First up: Orlando on Sunday.
