One goal, three points, nine from nine

Manchester City beat newly promoted Coventry 1-0 and made it three wins from three. Nine points from nine for Enzo Maresca’s side, sitting alone at the top of the Premier League after this round of fixtures. Not pretty. Brutally efficient.
At the other end of the table, Coventry are propping it up with three defeats from three. Back in the big time, and paying for it straight away.

Tottenham failed to hit the target once
The stat of the weekend belongs to Spurs. Zero shots on target at Nottingham Forest. Zero.
The 0-0 gives Roberto De Zerbi his first point of the season. That is about the only positive angle. Tottenham are still waiting for their first win and, right now, their attack looks about as threatening as a wet firework.
Crystal Palace, meanwhile, finally had something to smile about. Pierre Sage picked up his first win in charge of the Eagles at Fulham, after a game that went right to the wire. Trailing after King’s 11th-minute opener, the visitors levelled through Mitchell on 35 minutes, before Palacios put Fulham back in front just before the break.
Chilwell comes on and kills it in three minutes
Mitchell drew Palace level again on 54 minutes. Then, taken off in the 74th minute, he made way for Ben Chilwell. Three minutes later, the substitute scored the winner. 3-2 to the Eagles, their first victory of the season.
The other two matches ended all square. Brighton and Leeds finished 1-1, with Bogle opening the scoring in the 15th minute before Vuskovic levelled on 71. Same story at Brentford and Sunderland: Janelt put the Bees ahead on 57 minutes, and Enzo Le Fee equalised from the spot in the 82nd.
Five matches, seven goals, one winner. City are the only side in the division still carrying a perfect record.
