A hamstring injury ends Tracy’s stretch
The New York Giants placed running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. on injured reserve on Tuesday. General manager Joe Schoen confirmed the move and said the hamstring injury will keep Tracy out for at least four games.
Tracy went down in the second quarter of Sunday’s 27-21 overtime win over the Houston Texans and did not come back. The Giants held on to beat Houston in the extra period, but they paid for it in the backfield.

Who carries the load now
Cam Skattebo stays at the top of the depth chart. Devin Singletary is expected to see more carries behind him while Tracy is sidelined.
An IR placement means Tracy cannot return before the four-game minimum is up. The Giants will use that stretch to see how much of the ground game Skattebo and Singletary can handle between them.
