Caden Clark had been on the pitch ten minutes. Seattle were 3-2 down in Commerce City and running out of road. Albert Rusnak found him 25 yards out, Clark struck through a crowd of legs, and the ball went in. 3-3.
It is the fifth consecutive draw for the Sounders and their thirteenth match without a win. Two numbers that sit awkwardly together: a team that cannot lose and cannot win.

Colorado led twice and still lost ground
The Rapids had gone six home matches with a win and a clean sheet in each. Both streaks ended on Saturday night, in a game they controlled for long stretches.
Morgan Whittaker opened the scoring in the 28th, one-timing a Paxten Aaronson pass from the centre of the box with his left foot. Cristian Roldan headed Seattle level in the 49th, rising to meet a Rusnak restart and directing it inside the back post.
Colorado went back ahead six minutes later from a scramble. Whittaker’s corner found Loic Williams, his header was deflected by Andrew Thomas, and Donavan Phillip hammered the loose ball into the roof of the net from close range. Whittaker made it 3-1 in the 76th, Aaronson supplying again.
Whittaker and Phillip had never scored in MLS before this match. Aaronson finished with two assists, as did Rusnak at the other end.
What the point is worth
Dejan Joveljic pulled one back in the 79th with a right-footed shot into the upper corner, and three minutes into stoppage time Clark did the rest.
Seattle move to 29 points from 24 games. Colorado stay on 36 from 26 and will read this as two dropped. The Sounders had earlier chances too: Jordan Morris headed a Joveljic cross onto the crossbar in the 17th minute, and Joveljic cleared the bar from outside the box three minutes after that.
