A verbal green light to Besiktas
Dusan Vlahovic may already know where he is heading. Fabrizio Romano reported on Tuesday night that the Serbian striker has told Besiktas yes. A verbal agreement on a three-year contract is in place. Only the last details stand between him and a signature.
The logic is easy to follow. His Juventus deal has run out, so he moves for free. A 26-year-old goalscorer capped by Serbia, available without a fee, does not come along often in a single window.

A move nobody really predicted
Bigger names had circled. Atletico Madrid took a look. Clubs in England kicked the tyres too. And yet Vlahovic has chosen Turkey, an unexpected turn for a forward of his standing.
His last stretch in Turin explains a lot of it. Seven goals in 19 Serie A games last season. A steep fall for a striker who once cleared 20 in his best years in black and white. His minutes had shrunk, and by the end the bond with Juventus had plainly worn thin.
A bet to find himself again
Istanbul would drop him into a league he has never played in. Besiktas want a marquee name to push their rebuild and climb back to the top of Turkish football. His job is blunt: score again, the very thing that made him one of Europe’s hottest centre-forwards three summers ago. No ink has dried yet. Everything points to it happening soon anyway.
