No indoor Euros for the world record holder
Armand Duplantis announced Friday he will skip the entire 2027 indoor season, including the European Championships in Valencia set for March. The Swedish pole vaulter, who holds the world record at 6.31m, explained his decision in a statement: he wants to give his body “the recovery and preparation time it needs to be at its best” when he returns to competition.
