First start, six stops
Brad Stuver had not missed a kickoff since 2022. On this night, Austin FC handed Damian Las the gloves. The 24-year-old keeper answered with six saves and a 2-1 win on the road at Seattle.
His night was made in the second half. Paul Rothrock tested him in the 50th minute, then again in the 55th. Snyder Brunell found him in the 58th, Danny Musovski in the 61st. The last stop, in the 85th with Austin leading 1-0, beat away Albert Rusnak’s right-footed strike.

Torres and Biro punish the Sounders
Facundo Torres broke the deadlock in the 66th minute. Zan Kolmanic picked out the ball from the left flank, and the Uruguay international drilled a left-footed finish into the right corner.
The second came from Guilherme Biro in the 87th. Brandon Vazquez swung in a cross to the left post, and the Brazilian met it first time on the move with a flying finish.
Seattle pulled one back in the 90th. Rusnak delivered the free kick, and 19-year-old Stuart Hawkins rose to head home. His first MLS goal.
Eight straight, a club record nobody wants
The backdrop was grim on both sides. Seattle were without Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan, both nursing hamstring injuries, and Jesus Ferreira, who picked up a hamstring problem on Sunday against Vancouver.
Austin were missing Owen Wolff for a third straight match, plus Myrto Uzuni and Christian Ramirez, their top scorers this season with six and five goals, left at home.
The result suits Austin (5-10-5, 20 points), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Their last MLS win had already come in Seattle, back on July 22.
For the Sounders (7-9-3, 24 points), the numbers sting: eight straight MLS defeats, a club record no one will be rushing to frame. Andrew Thomas still made six saves of his own.
