Colorado sets the tempo

Minnesota on the brink

The pace through the neutral zone still causes problems for any opponent. But the depth dries up late in games. This is a young attack carrying the load. Danila Yurov buried a four-minute power-play chance. Brock Faber provided the assist and reached 10 points in the spring tournament.

The third period exposed the cracks. Colorado’s pressure forced turnover after turnover. Jake Middleton’s mistake led directly to the winner. The stars are still producing, though. Kirill Kaprizov and Quinn Hughes sit atop the scoring chart with 14 points each. Matt Boldy leads the goal scorers with seven.
