Rodríguez turns it around in five minutes
Celtic Park went quiet in the space of five minutes. The hosts led through Baur’s goal shortly after the break, then watched Celta Vigo’s Rodríguez score twice in the 68th and 71st minutes to take a 2-1 win in the Europa League last night.
Celtic had the better of the early second half. Baur broke the deadlock in the 47th minute and Liam Scales hit the crossbar on 63. Then the game flipped. Celta created more chances over the 90 minutes, and Sky Sports’ reporter at the ground described the visitors as the more dangerous side.

A European slide that keeps growing
This is Celtic’s third straight defeat in the league phase and their fourth consecutive loss in European competition. They are one of four clubs in the 36-team table still without a point. It is a sharp contrast to domestic form: the week before, Celtic put seven past Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, winning 7-1.
Manager Martin O’Neill pointed to a set piece for the decisive goal and defended his players. “We conceded a goal from a set piece,” he said, adding that he “can’t ask for any more from the players.”
What it changes
With zero points from three games, Celtic now need results from a calendar that offers little room for error. Celta Vigo, who found their rhythm only after Baur’s opener, took the three points and the momentum with them.
