A loan deal with a buy option in Russia
AJ Auxerre confirmed Josue Casimir’s exit on Thursday night. The 24-year-old Haitian right winger has joined Dynamo Moscow on a season-long loan for 2026-2027, with an option to buy.
“Josue Casimir joins FK Dynamo Moscow. The Haiti international forward has been loaned to the Russian club for the 2026-2027 season, with an option to buy,” the Burgundy club said in its statement.
The timing explains part of the move. The Russian transfer window shuts on Friday night, so Auxerre and Dynamo had to get the deal done in the final hours, long after the big leagues in Europe had closed their doors more than a week ago.

One Ligue 1 season, one goal
Casimir arrived at Auxerre in the summer of 2025 from Le Havre, where he came through the academy. The numbers are modest: 31 Ligue 1 appearances, according to the club’s count, and just one goal.
Even so, AJA are keen to point to his part in the team’s wider effort. The statement says he “helped the club stay in the top flight”. In a club fighting for survival every spring, that kind of contribution matters more than any individual stat line.
The door is still open
The buy option changes the shape of the deal. Auxerre have not shut the file for good. If the Haitian doesn’t settle in Moscow, they keep control of the situation; if he does, they bank a fee. For a club watching every penny, it’s a low-risk move.
For Casimir, the picture is different. At 24, a winger with one goal in a year of Ligue 1 needs minutes and numbers on the board. The Russian league could give him both, if he adapts quickly to a style of play and a climate he has never faced before.
