Two goals in six minutes, then the decisive one
Huracan beat Racing Club 2-1 at the Estadio Tomas Adolfo Duco overnight. Jordy Caicedo scored the winner on 78 minutes, turning in a Thaiel Peralta pass from close range after Racing failed to clear their own six-yard area.
The match had stayed goalless until just past the hour mark. Lucas Blondel worked the ball across and Facundo Waller stabbed it into the top left corner from very close range on 53 minutes. Racing answered almost immediately. Six minutes later a corner dropped to Ulises Ortegoza in the centre of the box and he lifted it left-footed into the top right corner.

Racing keep finding new ways to lose
The equaliser should have steadied them. Instead Racing spent the next twenty minutes inviting pressure onto their own box, and Caicedo eventually got the touch that decided it.
Racing have now taken five points from nine matches. One win, two draws, six defeats. That is relegation-form arithmetic at a club that expects to compete for titles, and Sunday followed a shape that has become familiar: enough on the ball to stay in the game, not enough organisation in their own area to finish it out.
Both Huracan goals were scored from a few yards out. Neither required a save from anyone. That is the detail Racing will be shown on Monday morning.
Huracan climb
Huracan move to 13 points from nine games, with three wins, four draws and two defeats. Not a spectacular return, and the four draws tell you how many of these matches have gone to the wire, but beating Racing at home is the sort of result that turns a mid-table season into a comfortable one.
The gap between the two sides is now eight points, in favour of the team nobody expected to be looking down at Racing in September.
