Dallas finishes strong against Seattle
Dallas closed out the regular season in style. The Wings rolled past Seattle 103 to 91 in their final WNBA regular-season game, a win that locked up seventh place and a playoff berth.
Paige Bueckers led the charge for the Wings. She finished with 25 points, including a huge three-pointer with 57.8 seconds left as Seattle was clawing back into it. Arike Ogunbowale added 23 points. Jessica Shepard posted a triple-double with 20 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds, her sixth of the season. Awak Kuier and Maddy Siegrist chipped in with 14 and 11 points respectively.

Seattle rally comes too late
The game was basically over from the opening stretch. Dallas led 29 to 12 after the first quarter, then 49 to 42 at the break. Seattle made a strong push in the fourth, with Dominique Malonga putting up 29 points and 8 rebounds, Awa Fam scoring 22 and Flau’jae Johnson adding 21. Natisha Hiedeman also dished out 14 assists. But the comeback never quite got there after Dallas had already built the cushion.
The defeat seals a season Seattle will want to forget. With 36 losses, the franchise sets the WNBA record for the most defeats in a single season. An 8-36 finish, and a campaign that never really got out of first gear.
A tough opponent awaits
For Dallas, now 27 wins and 17 losses, the real work starts in the playoffs. The Wings will face the winner of Golden State (31 wins, 12 losses) and Las Vegas (30 wins, 13 losses) in the first round. So Bueckers and company are staring down a heavy-hitting opponent right away.
