Tudor clean up in Wieliczka
The Tour of Poland came down to the clock. Stage 7, the final day, served up a 12.5-kilometre time trial around Wieliczka on Sunday afternoon, and Stefan Kung answered it in style. The Swiss rider from Tudor stopped the clock at 14 minutes, 25.60 seconds, quick enough to hold off Finn Fisher-Black and Callum Thornley, both of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe.
The course rewarded the complete time triallist. It opened on a 1,700-metre climb at 5.7 percent, then tipped into a descent of nearly eight kilometres. The last 3.5 kilometres ran flat and fast, made for a brutal finish. That is where Kung put the power down.

Brenner takes the overall title
The time trial rearranged everything at the top. Marco Brenner came out of it as the overall winner. The 23-year-old German, Kung’s team-mate at Tudor, landed the biggest result of his career, finishing 10 seconds clear of Finn Fisher-Black. Spain’s Ivan Romero, of Movistar, rounded out the podium at 16 seconds.
Tudor took the lot in one afternoon: the stage and the general classification together. For Brenner, it is a real jump forward. He has turned the promise of earlier stage races into a signature win, and slotted himself among the young riders people will now keep an eye on.
A signal before the season run-in
The Tour of Poland is one of the WorldTour’s marquee races. Winning it at 23 is no small line on a palmares. Brenner rolls into the back end of the season with momentum behind him, the Vuelta and the autumn classics on the horizon. Kung, for his part, has reminded everyone he remains a reference against the clock.
