Bredewold times the Burgos finale to perfection
Mischa Bredewold saved her best for the last day. The SD Worx-Protime rider attacked over the closing hills of the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas and held on to win stage 3 into Medina de Pomar, a 126-kilometre run from Busto de Bureba. Mireia Benito of AG Insurance-Soudal came in second. Lorena Wiebes rolled home third.
That order settled more than the stage. It handed SD Worx a clean sweep of the places that mattered.

Wiebes leaves Burgos with the overall
Wiebes did not need to win the stage. Third place, plus the bonus seconds she picked up along the way, was enough to lock down the general classification. Her sprinter’s legs carried the race lead through the mountains, and her team protected it to the line.
Bredewold climbed to second overall with the stage victory, giving the Dutch squad the top two spots on the final podium. Benito’s ride earned her a place in the conversation as well.
A statement from a deep roster
SD Worx spent the week riding like a team that expects to win, then did. Wiebes handles the flat finishes, Bredewold covers the climbs, and that balance turns short stage races like this one into a procession.
The riders scatter now toward bigger targets on the late-summer calendar, Burgos already banked.
