Ten games without a win, and counting
Three minutes were left in Houston on Saturday night. Real Salt Lake had just leveled it, the Dynamo were wobbling, and Shell Energy Stadium had all the feel of a draw.
Mateusz Bogusz took the ball from Guilherme inside the box. He took his time, set himself, then curled a left-footed finish beyond Rafael Cabral. 2-1. His fifth goal of the season.
Houston claimed their first win in three matches. RSL, meanwhile, are now winless in 10 straight: six defeats, four draws. The slide just keeps going.

Guilherme everywhere
The Brazilian had opened the scoring in the 57th minute. Lawrence Ennali picked him out, he drifted into space near the top of the area, and he sent a rising effort down and in behind Cabral. His 13th goal of the season, and his first since 15 August.
He also set up Bogusz for the winner. That was his eighth assist of the campaign, the most on the team. His 13 goals leave him tied with five other players in third place in the league scoring charts.
Between those two strikes, Saba Lobjanidze had pulled everyone level. Introduced in the 70th minute for Diego Luna, the Georgian scored six minutes later. His third goal of the season, and his second since joining from Atlanta United on 1 July.
A defense that barely gives anything away
Houston move on to 43 points, with 13 wins, 7 defeats and 4 draws. They remain a horrible side to face at home: 8 wins, 2 losses, 2 draws at Shell Energy Stadium. And over their last three matches, they’ve conceded just once. That came from Lobjanidze.
Jonathan Bond saved two of the three shots on target he faced. At the other end, Salt Lake’s keeper kept out four of six attempts.
RSL sit on 29 points, with 8 wins, 10 defeats and 5 draws. Their away record tells a big part of the story: one win, eight losses, three draws. The two clubs finish their regular-season meetings level, with one win each.
