Buffalo locks down its offensive line

Seventy-eight point four million dollars. That is what the Buffalo Bills just committed to keeping O’Cyrus Torrence in Buffalo. According to ESPN, the club and its right guard agreed to a four-year extension on Friday, tying him to the franchise through 2030.

Torrence was still on his rookie deal. Buffalo didn’t wait around. The front office chose to pay early for one of its young cornerstones.

Guards rarely make headlines. This one protects the most valuable asset on the roster. Torrence has started since the day he walked in, a second-round pick out of Florida in 2023 who grabbed a starting job almost immediately and never gave it back. His job description hasn’t changed: blow open running lanes and keep Josh Allen clean.

The extension says plenty about what Buffalo wants. Keep the core together, chase the AFC. The offensive line carries a lot of that weight.
